Representative Kristin Bahner (MN) is currently serving her 4th term in the House of Representatives. She is a leader on issues around AI, cybersecurity, IT modernization and online safety for children. 

She currently serves as the Vice Chair of the State Government Committee, member of the committees. She recently served as the Chair of the Legislative Commission on Cyber Security and is an active member of the Governor’s Technical Advisor Council (TAC). She also serves as a member of the NCSL taskforce on AI, Cybersecurity and Data Privacy and the sub-group to create uniform legislation on AI guardrails and best practices.

Outside of the legislature, Rep. Bahner is an Agile Evangelist, Scrum Master & Coach, where she is focused on team leadership to get the job done on time and on budget. Her current work highlights critical IT infrastructure & modernization, cyber security & cyber incident reporting, AI and the future of technology that works for real people.  She is currently the author of a bill on AI transparency, governance and accountability.
